Douglas Victor Stein

Douglas Victor Stein, 86, of Pepin, WI passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 surrounded by his family at Advent Health in Durand, WI. He was born March 24, 1939 in Pepin, WI; son of Victor and Melvanie (Rundquist) Stein.
Doug graduated from Pepin High School in 1957. On April 8, 1961 he married Beverly Anderson in Plum City. They were married for 64 years and together owned and operated his family dairy farm for 6 decades. It meant a great deal to Doug to farm alongside his son, the fifth generation, for the last 40 years.
Doug was a lifetime member of Sabylund Lutheran Church and served on the church council.
Doug loved to dairy farm, very few times missing a daily milking. In the last 5 years of his life, he was very proud to share that his granddaughter and her family came back to takeover and operate the family farm, making it the 6th generation.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Stein; son, Mitch (Julie) Stein; daughter, Michele (Steve) Decker of Rochester, MN; granddaughter, Sarah (Dustin) Seifert; grandson, Samuel Decker; great grandchildren, Adalynn and Lane Seifert.
He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Melvanie (Rundquist) Stein; son, Michael Stein, and daughter-in-law, Beth Stein.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Sabylund Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Sabylund Cemetery.
