Sigrid Jo (Murray) Wendt

It is with great sadness that the family of Sigrid Jo (Murray) Wendt announce her
passing on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the age of 78. Sigrid will be lovingly remembered
by her children, Gerald Jr. (Chuck), Scott, Troy, Krissi and Deidre and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sigrid was born on April 3, 1943 in Durand, WI to Joseph and Margaret (Peterson)
Murray.
Sigrid was a devoted wife and a proud mother and grandmother. One of her greatest
pleasures were caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and will always be remembered for the special meals she made for her family,
especially her home-made biscuits.
Sigrid loved reading and playing cards with her family. She was an avid Brewers fan and particularly enjoyed her ‘sister trip’ to a Brewers game in Milwaukee.
Pepin, WI held a special place in Sigrid’s heart, and she looked forward to her return
visits to her hometown.
Sigrid was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gerald Wendt Sr.; her parents; sister, Penny; brother, Joe; parents in law, Dorothy and Richard; sister-in-law, Florence; and brother-in-law, Tom.
She is survived by her children, Chuck (Cathy), Scott, Troy (Missy), Krissi (Wade) Luedtke, and Deidre (Paul) Tennyson; brothers, Tim (Jane) Murray, Dan (Ann) Murray; sisters, Mickey Murray, Gail Barringer, Ann Hosington and Vicki King; brothers-in-law, Kenny (Ruth), Glen (Jeannie;) and sisters-in-law, Elaine (James) Iattoni, Linda Schrieier, Gloria Wirkus and
Sharon Lemmer; and many nieces and nephews. Sigrid will also be fondly remembered
by her 11 grandchildren, Kaytlyn, Danielle, Devon, Michael, Kaylee, Samantha, Jesse (Alaina), Alexandria, Meganne, Alyssa and Brooklynn; and 5 great grandchildren, Haley, Roy, Easton, Ivy and William.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dove Healthcare in Chippewa Falls and Marshfield Hospital in Eau Claire for their care and compassion for Sigrid and her family.
At Sigrid’s request there will be a private memorial gathering for immediate family.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and
missed beyond measure.
