The Eleva-Strum boys basketball team played two Dairyland Conference games last week with split results.

The Cards hosted Alma/Pepin on Tuesday, Jan 5, ending with a 69-54 loss. E-S trailed 35-19 at the half, and despite making a brief run at the Eagles in the second half, couldn’t slow the visiting squad enough to take the lead.

Senior Mathew Higley led E-S with 22 points followed by Bennett Moen with 11 points and Jed Lorenz with 10 points.

The boys also played at Independence on Friday, Jan. 8, taking the win by just one point, 60-59. Higley again led the team with 22 points and Lorenz and Moen both had nine points.

The Cards have a busy week with a game on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Colfax, a game on Thursday, Jan. 14, at Alma Center Lincoln, and a Saturday game on Jan. 16 at Fall Creek.
