The Lady Panthers traveled to Independence on Tuesday, Feb. 23, for their regional playoff game. The Panthers drew the No. 15 seed against second-seeded Independence.

The Indees were able to shoot high percentage shots, and their tough defense didn’t allow the Panthers many chances to score. The Panthers only shot 27 times compared to Independence’s 71 opportunities. The Panthers did well with respect to rebounding, considering Independence’s size. The Panthers were out-rebounded by seven, falling in the regional quarterfinals by a final score of 72-20 to bring their season to an end.

Senior Rachel Hovey led the Lady Panthers with six points followed by Johanna Wulff and Jordyn Bloom with four. Julia Branger had eight rebounds and Hailey Bork grabbed four. Bloom also had two blocks.

The Lady Panthers would like to extend their appreciation to Rick Bloom and Emily Erickson for being wonderful coaches throughout the season. You never gave up on us and always focused on the improvements. The team would also like to give a shout out to their parents and fans for attending games and supporting them throughout the season.
