Laursen receives one last football honor

Collin Laursen of Mondovi was amongst several University of Wisconsin-Stout football players to be recognized at the team’s recent banquet.
Laursen, a 2011 Mondovi High School graduate, was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Defensive Player following a solid season in which the defensive back was one of the Blue Devils’ tackling leaders.
A senior team captain and a second team all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, Laursen finished the 2015 season with 74 tackles, 46 solo, with three tackles for a loss and five pass break-ups.
For his career, Laursen amassed a total of 226 tackles with 132 solo stops and tallied 18.5 tackles for a loss for a total of 64 yards with 11 pass breakups.
Laursen was one of nine seniors honored at the banquet in addition to other team award winners.
