Local Mondovi woman opens “Our Family Accounting LLC”

As tax season is underway, Agent Jessica Vollmer reminds locals to stop in to “Our Family Accounting LLC” and make an appointment with her. Vollmer is a Mondovi native and has been looking forward to bringing in an accounting agency to Mondovi for some time. The doors of 910 Countryside Pkwy were officially opened on Dec. 1, 2014. The agency shares the same building as Van Roo Chiropractic.
Vollmer said she was always one to like numbers, even at adolescence.
“When I was younger, I always wanted to be a math teacher; that was until I took my first accounting class in high school.”
Vollmer kick started her college career before graduating high school by enrolling into the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s summer courses in May 2002, which led her to a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from UWEC in 2006. 
Vollmer started her career working for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue in June 2007 as an auditor.  During the time, Vollmer had various intense trainings for auditing tax returns. After working for the Department of Revenue, Vollmer went to work for an accounting firm in Bloomer starting in December 2013. 
“It was while working in Bloomer that I decided to pursue my own office and to be closer to home,” Vollmer mentioned.
As a young adult, Vollmer had grown around her father’s plumbing business, Glen Pelke Plumbing. Vollmer said she would occasionally help out by running errands, or covering the phones when it was needed.
Vollmer and husband Brad live in the town of Mondovi with their two children Coby, 9, and Janessa, 6. Her husband Brad works for Builders Millwork in Mondovi.
“We do make office visits to clients on a monthly basis to review their records instead of them having to send or deliver everything into us,” Vollmer noted, “If clients are laid up or otherwise unable to make it to the office for their tax preparation, we do make house calls to complete the returns for them.”
