Due to the snow storm that swept through the area on Tuesday, Feb. 2, the Buffaloes’ scheduled game against Elk Mound, as well as school, were canceled. This only left them with one game for the week against Spring Valley.

On Saturday, Feb. 6, Mondovi hosted the Cardinals. It was an extremely close game all the way through. Going into halftime, the Buffaloes were only up by two points, 26-24. Yet Mondovi was able to keep and even extend its lead in the second half, resulting in the win, 52-48.

The Buffaloes’ high scorer for the game was Blake Purdy, who had 18 points.  Fellow senior Greg Poeschel had 10. Lead scorer for the Cardinals was Sean Borgerding, who scored 17 points.

The games next up on the schedule are in Elmwood/Plum City on Thursday, Feb. 11, and home against Elk Mound for a make-up game on Monday, Feb. 15.
