Second half sinks Lady Cardinals vs. Hornets

On Thursday, Jan. 7, the Eleva-Strum varsity girls played against the Alma Center Lincoln Hornets at home for their only game of the week.

In the first half, the Lady Cards had quite the lead with a score of 32-23. But in the second half, the Cardinals fell behind as Alma Center added 30 points while the Cards scored just 17 en route to a 53-49 loss for E-S.

It was a close game, and the statistical leaders for the night were Josie Olson with 17 points, Jenna Booth with 13, and Tatum Everson with five. Over the course of the night both Abby Palkowski and Taylor Everson had six assists, and Booth had four. Overall the Lady Cards had 27 assists.

The Lady Cards continued conference play this week, playing the Whitehall Norse on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Whitehall. Later in the week, on Friday, Jan. 15, the girls will play at C-FC.
