Laurie Miller
Laura Anne (Otrusina) Miller - known by those who loved her as Laurie - passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026 at home in Eagle, WI surrounded by her family.
Born on August 20, 1964, to Richard and Carol Andrews, Laurie graduated from Antioch High School prior to pursuing an initial career in cosmetology. On May 17, 1986, she married William Miller, with whom she had 3 beautiful children and her true life’s work began.
Laurie’s greatest joy in life was being a mother, and she always made sure her children knew that. She made even the ordinary day seem extraordinary whether it was leaving notes in school lunches, spending hours working on homemade costumes, or making sure to dress her kids in bright colors for the field trip to the butterfly exhibit (and she was likely joining along as a chaperone). She loved gardening, bingo, and talking on the phone for hours to any number of her loving friends and family.
Laurie is survived by her ex-husband, William, who showed love and support for her long-past the end of their marriage; her sons Andrew Miller and Brandon Miller, daughter Samantha Haefner, son-in-law Jake Haefner, and her expected first grandchild; her sisters Debbie Coles, Tina Ring, and Shari Thatcher, and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Carol.
Laurie taught everyone who knew her the meaning of unconditional love and selflessness, and while she will be dearly missed, she will never be forgotten.
