Donald B. Tempski

Donald “Don” Bernard Tempski, age 71, of Fall Creek died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Clearwater Care Center in Eau Claire. He was born on February 11, 1945 to Hyacinth and Dorothy (Guenther) Tempski in Arcadia. He grew up in Lewis Valley and graduated from Arcadia High School. He worked with his dad on the family farm before starting, Tempski Spring Valley Farms, near Strum. He also worked at Tri State Breeders and the YMCA in Eau Claire. Don married Beverly Olson and together they had five children; they later divorced. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, and taking his family water-skiing. He never missed a fishing opener for Minnesota or Wisconsin until he “retired.” Don especially loved the Disabled Hunt near Willard. He also loved to play cards, especially 500 and Farkle, and spend time with his grandchildren and hunting and fishing buddies.
Don is survived by his four children, Sheila (Curt) Kersten of Osseo, Deanna (Paul) Gindt of Hastings, MN, Kelly (Diana) Tempski of Arcadia, and Darin (Natricia) Tempski of Alma Center; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremey, Kendall, Dominic, Donavon, Renata, Nikita, Elijah, Isaiah, Victoria, Elliana, Derik, Darian, and Siara; mother, Dorothy Tempski of Blair; two sisters, Darlene Schorbahn of Eau Claire and Doris (Dennis) Bagniewski of Arcadia; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Shannon Marie; father, Hyacinth Tempski; brother, Marvin Tempski; and many close friends, especially his hunting buddies, Harlan Newcomb (hunting together for 50 years) and Donny Anderson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Arcadia. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Arcadia. Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.
