Council hires Mohs

There’s a new manager at the Plainview Municipal Liquor Store, and the Plainview City Council made it official at a special meeting at city hall on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
The council unanimously approved a motion to hire Alisha Mohs as the liquor store’s new manager.
According to Mayor Roger Ziebell, Mohs impressed members of the council and personnel committee in her interviews. Ziebell said Mohs was one of nine candidates that applied for the city’s position. Mohs, a Plainview native who received her undergraduate degree in Marketing from Winona State University, has over nine years of bartending experience.
Mohs will replace Heather Bennett-Streich, who the council appointed as the interim manager at an October 24 meeting. Bennett-Streich replaced longtime manager Don Hall, who the council terminated at a meeting on November 14 following an investigation.
