Clifford Tibor

Clifford Allen Tibor, 87, died Sunday June 9, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha. Clifford was born December 18, 1931 in Wabasha to Clarence and Marcella (Kennebeck) Tibor. He attended school in Kellogg. Clifford enlisted in the United States Air Force in April of 1953 serving until his discharge in 1973. On May 1, 1954 he married Nancy Deming at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Plainview. Following his discharge in 1973, they lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Clifford worked as an auto mechanic. He retired in 1991 and they moved to Red Wing and then later settled in Rochester. Clifford was a member of the Rochester American Legion Post # 92 and the Plainview VFW. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, following the Minnesota Vikings and Twins and loved country music.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Rochester; 4 daughters, Debra and Cheryl Tibor of Connecticut, Christine (Dave) Burns of Las Vegas, NV and Lesley (Luke) Shockman of Rochester; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, LaVonne (Dick) Ozmun of Tennessee and RoJean ( Gene) Becker of Lake City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Ronald, 4 brothers Richard, Edward, Ronald and James and 1 sister Alice.
Funeral Mass is Saturday, June 15, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating. Burial is at St. Joachim Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Plainview American Legion. Thevisitation is Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
