Darlene “Dot” R. Hippe-Wenner, age 79, of Nicollet, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at MCHS – Mankato. She had battled cancer for the last 10 years, with pneumonia and covid getting the best of her.

Darlene was born November 29, 1941, to William and Irma (Franz) Hippe in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. Dot owned and operated “Dot’s Alterations and Tailoring” for over 30 years.

Dot is survived by her husband, Wendell Wenner, Jr.; daughter, Anna (Wayne) Folkert; son, JJ Krenzke, Jr.; stepdaughter, Wendy (Mike) Woessner; four grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Melissa, and Garrett; three great-grandchildren, Kip, Luke, and Presley; five siblings, Shirley McGrath, Joan Ryan, Gene (Julie) Hippe, Jerry (Sheryl) Hippe, and Cindy (Greg) Collins; and extended family. Dot was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick; and brother, Jimmy.

A Celebration of Dot’s Life will be Saturday, June 19th, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Millville American Legion hosted by the family. Private family burial will be in the Millville Cemetery at a later time.
