Kimberly Ann Hofschulte

Kimberly Ann Hofschulte, 56, of Rochester, MN died at her home on April 29, 2021. Kim was born on February 9, 1965 to Harvey and Cheryl (Stevens) Hofschulte in Rochester, MN.
Kim graduated from Elgin-Millville High School in 1983. She attended RCC where she received a medical secretary degree.
On May 6, 1984, Kim welcomed her only son, Shawn Bryan Hofschulte, to the world. Shawn and her grandchildren, Mason and Lidia, will always be her greatest gifts and life’s treasures.
Kim enjoyed camping at the permanent campsite she had for many years at Pioneer Campground in Wabasha, MN. There she enjoyed time with family and friends, including many boat rides and campfires. Kim also enjoyed garage sales, consignment shopping and flea markets. She had a knack for gardening and took pride in her ability to make a delicious meal with whatever she had on hand. She was a gifted poet and artist and shared many poems with family and friends.
Kim is survived by her son, Shawn; grandchildren Mason and Lidia; her mother, Cheryl Keller; brother Daren Hofschulte (Tracy); sisters, Tauni Tuckner (Brad), Brenda Shamblin (Brian), Nichole Hofschulte and Nichole’s mom Mary Deming (long-time partner to Harvey) and sister Carly Deming (Eric); along with many nephews and nieces. Her beloved pet cat, Tucker, brought her great joy over the few years since she adopted him.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Hofschulte; stepfather, Gaylen Keller; maternal and paternal grandparents; and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Sunday, May 16, from 2-6pm at the Plainview American Legion, 215 3rd St SW, Plainview MN. There will be a special prayer service at 2:30pm. Due to the current health concerns and restrictions, please respect social distancing and the wearing of face masks at the celebration.
