Building permits approved, denied by Strum Village Board
STRUM - Two building permits were approved but one was denied by the Strum Village Board during the August meet back on the 10th at the Civic Center.
Approved by the Board were permits to Diego Gutierrez, Pine St, for a new house and . Rory Rindal, 415 Pine St, for a new fence. The permit application that was denied was submitted by Leland Christensen II, 5th Ave for a 120ftx192ft. structure.
Three operator's licenses were approved by the Board. The Board also approved updates to village ordinances on shed, fence, porch/deck requirements.
Several items on the agenda were tabled until the next meeting or other future meetings. These included problems with vehicles parked at the intersection of 5th Ave. and Birch St. and driver sight lines; amendments to the village's water and sewer ordinances; what to do with unused village equipment and supplies; questions on several village park pavilions; questions on the future of beach access to Crystal Lake form Woodland Park; future operations of the Viking Recreation Center Golf Course and part-time help at the village's Recycling Center.
