City of Osseo ends support for Miss Osseo program, seizes float

OSSEO - After years of providing financial support to the Miss Osseo Pageant program and providing insurance to its parade float, the Osseo City unanimously voted to end such funding and took possession of the parade float, which the city owns, during a special meeting of the Council held last week Wednesday, May 20 at City Hall.
With no candidates to be Miss Osseo for the upcoming 2026-27 term, aldermen requested at the May 11 meeting of the Council to have further debate whether to continue to support to program.
