E-S School Board holds February meeting

CENTRAL - The Eleva-Strum School Board held its February meeting back on the 18th in the Central Building IMC.

It was announced at the meeting that two public forums on the upcoming referendum for the April 7 ballot will take place in the month of March. The dates of these sessions are Monday, March 16 and Wednesday, April 1. both starting at 6 p.m. in the Central IMC, The district is requesting another operating referendum because the current one passed in 2023 for $700,000 expires this year. The district is asking for $600,000 for operations for the next three years.

The Board approved the hire of Scott McConnell, Volunteer High School Track Coach. They also approved an Early College Credit application.

Board members who attended the Wisconsin State School Board Association (WASB) convention in Milwaukee gave their report on the proceedings.
