Eleva-Strum School Boards selects officers for new term
CENTRAL - The Eleva-Strum School Board selected its officers for its new term after April's spring election. This was done during the May meeting back on the 13th in the Central IMC.
Josh Stendahl was chosen by the Board for school board president. Kris Husby was tabbed for school board vice president, Jessica Franson for school board clerk; Craig Marsolek for school board treasurer and Amanda Necker was appointed as the CESA #10 representative.
The following resignations and hires were approved by the Board in its May and June 10 meetings: Resignations - Haley Christenson, High School English Teacher; Autumn Young, Pep Club Advisor; and Traci Marsolek, High School Student Council Advisor. Hires - Jon Higley, Volunteer High School Golf Coach; Desirae Nichols, High School English Teacher; and the 2026-2027 Co-Curricular
Assignments.
The Board approved the following agenda items from both meetings: an expenditure-only budget for the 2026-2027 school year; sixteen open enrollment requests for the 2026-2027 academic year; approve all certified teaching staff a one-step move on the 2026-2027 teacher compensation model that includes a one percent increase to the base cell, and a three percent increase in compensation for all other employees; approve the 2026-2027 Occupational Therapist Agreement; approve the district's property and liability insurance renewals with Spectrum Insurance; approve the 2026-2027 Athletic Training Contract with Pank Chiropractic and they approved the continuation of the contract for Physical Therapy Services with the Osseo-Fairchild School District.
Breakfast and lunch prices for the 2026-2027 school year. were maintained from the previous school year. The Board also agreed to transfer surplus funds to Fund 46 by the July 30, 2026, deadline. If budget projections change and the district experiences a minor budget deficit, the deficit will be covered using fund balance.
