Jackson County approves using American Rescue Act funds

BLACK RIVER FALLS - The Jackson County Board of Supervisors unanimously gave its approval to a resolution to authorize and approve the use of funding from the American Rescue Act passed by Congress earlier this year during their July 15 meeting.

The board plans on using this funding to help with two projects: broadband facilities for the Town of Alma and a facilities needs study for the county jail.

The board also approved authorizing the application of a broadband expansion grant in partnership with Hilbert Communications LLC.
