OFAFC wrestling team to compete in Cloverbelt Conference Meet
The Osseo-Fairchild/Augusta/Fall Creek Tri-County Area prep wrestling co-op team begins its postseason action with this Saturday's, Feb. 5 Cloverbelt Conference Meet at Cadott beginning at 10 a.m.
The last time the full conference meet was held was in 2020 and the Dragons placed fifth and return several top-six place winners from that meet, including Bryce Armstrong-Baglien 113, Breanna Wier at 152, Hunter Breaker at 160, Kaden Mosely at 182 and Isaiah Waggoner at 285. OFAFC's Cayden Gunter also has a good chance to place at 106 pounds.
Wier competed in last weekend's first-ever WIAA State Girls Wrestling Tournament in La Crosse and placed third at 152 pounds.
No. 5 ranked Cadott and No. 10 Neillsville/Loyal/Greenwood along with Eau Claire Regis/Altoona are the teams with best chance of winning the meet. Both Cadott and NGL won their respective divisions in the conference in dual meets and the Hornets defeated the Warriors 50-25 during the Cloverbelt Crossover Duals in Spencer last Friday, Jan. 28.
