Osseo-Fairchild School Board approves hiring strength and performance coordinator

OSSEO - The Osseo-Fairchild School Board agreed to hire a strength and performance coordinator during its March 8 meeting held in the district board room at the middle/high school building.

The coordinator would help coach and teach students the correct techniques in weight training, fitness and wellness in after school programs and during the summer. Board members agreed to a one-year piolot program not to exceed $10,000 and paid for by athletic and community funds.

The board also approved a trip to Costa Rica for Spanish class students set for the summer of 2022 and approved a course in current events conducted in Spanish.

Also approved were new district policies, all CESA contracts and services for the 2021-22 school year and all early college credit program applications.

All hirings, resignations and retirements by district staff were also approved.

It was announced at the meeting that the district will received a grant of $6,500 for equipment fore the new tech. ed facility.
