Strum Village Board makes spring election preparations

STRUM - The Strum Village Board approved several measures in regards to upcoming elections at its meeting on February 9 at the Village Civic Center.

Natisha Nelson and Michelle Gross were appointed village SVD and EROs. The Board also voted to make the Civic Center the official village polling place for the 2026-27 elections. They set the last day for in-person absentee voting as the last Friday before the election date by 4 p.m. and designated the Tabulator for the 2026-27 elections.

The Board also approved a temporary Class B license to the Eleva-Strum Lions Club for a special event and renewed operator's licenses for James Husby and Kevin Skog. A building permit for DeAnn Heinz of Maple St. for a 20x24 additions was also approved.

A request by the Strum Rod & Gun Club to establish a year-round' potta-potty for people utilizing the Club's trail system was tabled until the March meeting which took place last week.
