Trempealeau County Board holds March meeting
WHITEHALL - The Trempealeau County Board held its March meeting back on the 16th at the County Government Center.
Since this was final meeting of this term of the Board before the April 7 spring election, departing members of the Board were honored at the start of the meeting including District No. 16 (Strum, Towns of Unity and Sumner) member Jeanne Nutter.
The Board gave its unanimous approval to all measures it voted on on its meeting agenda.
Backed were a resolution awarding the sale of $4,400,000 General Obligation Promissory Notes; accepting a grant from the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging (WIHA) on brain health; a budget transfer from the Water Quality Education Fund and Water Sampling Fund to DHHS and another budget transfer of cost savings in 2025 budget to the Youth Education Non-Lapsing Account.
The Board also approved Erlein Road in the Town of Unity to the county's highway aid system. They also backed the CTH. NN bridge replacement project and accepted a grant for snowmobile trail maintenance.
