Village of Strum approves water and sewer system increases
STRUM - The Village Board of Strum unanimously approved increases for water an sewer service beginning in January of 2025 during its August meeting on the 12th in the Village Community Room.
The rate increases will be three percent and will take affect by Jan. 1.
A building permit for a fence for Mike and Sabeth Peterson at 314 Balsam St was unanimously approved by the Board along with agenda items such as removing Michelle Loken from the village accounts at Coop Credit Union and replace with Natisha Nelson, approving a hauler's permit for Waste Management, conjoining Lot 1A in the village and making changes to the Spruce St. covenant.
The new pickleball courts in were discussed. The village set aside $20,000 of COVID funding for their construction. They also discussed a new state championship sign for the Eleva-Strum High School Baseball Team.
