Donna Lindberg

 Donna Darlene (Voss) Lindberg, age 82, of Jerome, ID, formerly of Wabasha and originally from Jackson County, Minnesota, died November 26, 2014 at DeSano Village in Jerome. She was born November 24, 1932 in Sioux Valley Township of Jackson County, the daughter of Hartwig and Alice (Smith) Voss. She graduated from Sioux Valley consolidated school in 1950 and graduated from Hamline University’s School of Nursing in 1953. Her registered nursing career continued for 45 years, working at Worthington Municipal, Olmsted Community, Abbott Northwestern and Unity Hospitals. She married Curtis H. Lindberg, of Avoca, MN, November 24, 1956. At the time of their retirement, Curtis was the Manufacturing Engineer of Toolkraft, Inc. and Donna was an Obstetrical Nurse at Unity Hospital, both located in Fridley, MN. Curt and Donna retired to their home on the Mississippi River in rural Wabasha in 1992.
 She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Wabasha and its WELCA organization. She was a past treasurer of the Eagle Valley Branch of Lutheran Brotherhood. She enjoyed quilting and volunteering at Faith Lutheran Church and the Wabasha County Elder Network.
 Donna is survived by daughters, DeEtte Lindberg and Charlotte Lindberg Bauer, both of Hailey, ID, Diane Hibbs, Pengilly, MN; four grandchildren, Tess Lindberg-Connor, Kitt Lindberg-Connor, Rosalie Lindberg Bauer and Kerry Hibbs; sister-in-law, Bonnie Voss, Cedar Rapids, IA; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, daughter, Clarice Ruth Lindberg, her parents, Hartwig and Alice Voss, and brothers and sister-in-law, Harlan and Betty Voss and Robert Voss.
 A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00am at Faith Lutheran Church in Wabasha with the Reverend David Knox officiating. Interment will be in Sioux Valley Cemetery at Lake Park, IA on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Casket bearers will be Kerry Hibbs, Rich Balvanz, Gene VanCura, Duane DeFries, and Ron Gathje. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday one hour before the service. Memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church, 905 Hiawatha Dr. E., Wabasha, MN 55981.
