John Peter Hager

John Peter Hager, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Pete was preceded in death by his parents John and Viola, and his loving wife Suzanne. He is survived by daughters Kariann, Kelli (Jeff), son Adam (Jeni), grandchildren Alec (Nichole), Evan (Caroline), Aidan, Rumi, Alexa, William, great-grandchildren Trace, Beau and siblings Gary (MaryLou), Dave (Carol), Bill (Gloria), and Lynn (Linda).Pete was a member of the armed forces and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Pete and Sue were married in 1971 and enjoyed a long and loving marriage until Sue’s untimely passing in 2019. Pete was a proud Teamster for over 30 years; in retirement, Pete and Sue enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona, where they golfed and socialized. Pete was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, including volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved telling and retelling stories. The funeral service will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan on Monday, June 30, 2025. Visitation will be at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am. Memorial gifts will be donated to St. Agnes Cemetery Association in Kellogg, MN
