Joseph ‘Joe’ R. Yarolimek, 93, Eau Claire
Joseph “Joe” R. Yarolimek, 93 of Eau Claire, formerly of Wabasha, MN passed away on February 1, 2019.
Joe was born to Frank and Florence (Hitchcock) Yarolimek on July 26, 1925 in Wabasha, Minnesota. Joe attended Wabasha High School, leaving in his senior year to join the Navy in 1942. He had many jobs over the years. Joe wore many hats but was prouder of his military service in the Navy aboard the USS Anthony during World War II. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, rock hunting, fishing, hunting, trapping and was a great painter and poet.
Joe is survived by his wife of 33 years Janet “Jan” (Best); first wife Ardyth (Loomis); step-daughters: Joanne (Mike) Lane and Becky (Tony) Bauer; 8 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; brother Donald Yarolimek. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Dane, and sister Bereith “Bee” Loechler, and brother-in-law Vince Loechler.
