Maxine Vogt played Pinochle with her friends at Donna Yarolimek’s home Monday. Tuesday she was an election judge at Minneiska. Wednesday she attended Semcac’s dinner at the Community Center in Plainview & stayed to play cards. Saturday evening she & daughter Diane Rivers of Wabasha attended the American Legion Membership Dinner at Yahooligans. Sunday she & Beth Drenckhahn of Winona attended the Belgian Waffle Breakfast & Holiday Bazaar at St. Felix. Later Sunday afternoon Maxine & daughter Diane Rivers left for Boone, IA to spend a couple days with Diane’s son Matt & Meredith Stroot & Remy.
Thursday evening Rosie Lamey, Louise Johnson, Bunnie Suilmann & Lois Sletten attended the play “Don’t Hug Me, We’re Married “ at the Jon Hassler Theater in Plainview. Sunday Rosie attended the St. Elizabeth Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar at St. Felix.
Maggie’s Girls (Margaret McNallan’s granddaughters) Marlyne Schouweiler, Kellogg, Lucille Ajer, Cottage Grove, Lavada Reckmann of Lake City, Mary Becker, Alma, Diane Sandwick, Wabasha, Judy McNallan, Sand Prairie, Mary Lou Clawson, Rochester & Kathy Theel, Wanamingo met for lunch at the Railhouse Grill in Lake City on Wednesday. Saturday Jerry & Judy McNallan, Wabasha, Lucille Ajer, Cottage Grove, JoAnn Hampel, MN City & Marlyne Schouweiler went to visit their Aunt Muriel Lyons & daughter Beth McClean at Fargo, North Dakota, as they were unable to attended Muriel’s daughter, 66-year-old Kathy Strand’s funeral in October.
Romaine & Joyce Miller attended the Kellogg American Legion & Auxiliary Membership dinner Saturday night at Yahooligans. The October 30th retirement party for their son Jr at Rochester after 34 years of employment was hosted by his boss, John Benike & his sister Mary Benike. The Millers received phone calls from daughters Cindy Maghrak of Minneapolis, Mary Bortke of Crystal & Jeannine Tulip of Pepin.
Jean Pavelka accompanied daughter Lori Wolf to a baby shower for Nicole Hart at the Ramada Inn at Rochester Saturday. Tony & Anh Thu Pavelka, My-Linh, Hailey & Makenzie of Shakopee spent overnight with Kenny & Jean. Jim Kennedy, Britt, IA, Mike Rossman, Byron, stopped by & had lunch with the other deer hunters - Kenny. Mark, Kevin & Donnie Saturday noon. Tony & Anh Thu & the girls joined Kenny & Jean at Yahooligans for the American Legion & it’s Auxiliary Membership dinner Saturday evening. After mass Sunday morning, Lori Wolf, Kenny & Jean Tony & Anh-Thu & girls ate at BJ’s Bar & Grill at Whippoorwill.
Sunday visitors & supper guests of Frank & Rita Norton were their son, Kevin Norton & Hunter & Darla Dohrn.
Friday night Hermie & Carol Gander took supper to Les & Carolyn Hinkle’s home on the prairie. Saturday Hermie & Carol were supper guests of their daughter Chris & Dick Schouweiler along with Pam Gander, Doug Weick & his son Tanner & dad Dale all of Rochester, Dillon Schouweiler & Lexi of Secor, IL Trevor Schouweiler & Talon & Lisa Durgin. Hermie Evers was a Sunday supper guest at the Gander home.
John Passe had lunch Wednesday at Town & Country Cafe. Thursday night John & Barb met Jen Passe & Brydon of New Prague at Culvers in Red Wing for supper & Brydon came home with them for a few days stay. John & Barb attended the Legion membership dinner at Yahooligans Saturday evening. Sunday morning John & Barb, her mother, Mary Lou Schouweiler, Mike & Dorothy Deming, Bob & Jolene Binner attended the Belgian Waffle Breakfast at St. Felix.
Saturday morning Shirley Huth attended Lavina Schmidtknecht’s funeral at the St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Chapel. Sunday morning she attended the St. Elizabeth’s Auxiliary Belgian Waffle Breakfast & Holiday Bazaar at St. Felix. An afternoon visitor was her son, Bill.
Gene Lamey played cards Tuesday afternoon at Buck’s Bar. Saturday Gene & Marj were guests for lunch at the home of her sister Barb Theuner along with the deer hunters.
Saturday afternoon visitors of Mary Tentis were Jen Passe & Brydon of New Prague. Mary attended the American Legion & Auxiliary membership dinner Saturday evening at Kellogg & helped at the Belgian Waffle Breakfast at St. Felix Sunday.
Wendy Arens, Marie & Emily were Wednesday supper guests of her mother, Jan celebrating Wendy’s Belated Birthday. Saturday night Jan & Betty Arens attended the Legion membership dinner at Yahooligans. Sunday Jan & Wendy & Sharon Kachinsky spent some time at the Eagle’s Nest Coffee Shop in Wabasha.
Wednesday visitors of Mary Wolf were Paul Wolf, Rick & Sharon when Rick got home following surgery at Methodist Hospital at Rochester the week before. Thursday Mary’s brother Leo Miller of Wabasha made his weekly visit, Saturday visitors were Steve & Annie Wolf, Courtney & Colton, Paul Wolf & Jaden. Sunday Tony stopped & Paul & Jaden were back hunting again.
Phil Schouweiler of Mantorville visited his mother, Mary Lou on Thursday. Friday Darlene Jones of Wabasha & Mary Lou met the Red Hat ladies at the home of JoAnne Robers at Rochester. Later that afternoon Mary Lou visited Marian Evers at St Isadore’s Health Center in Plainview & that evening she attended grandson Elijah Breuer’s 19th birthday party at Jeff & Paula’s home. Sunday night she accompanied Mike & Dorothy Deming to Dick & Chris’s home for supper - especially to get to visit with grandson Dillon Schouweiler & daughter Lexi, here from Secor, IL for deer hunting.
