Ramona A. Kanz

Ramona A. Kanz, 95 of Wabasha and formerly of rural Weaver, MN, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at Gundersen – St. Elizabeth Hospital, Wabasha.
Ramona ‘Mona’ Agnes Franke was born September 10, 1929, in Wabasha to Ida (Rathman) and Joseph Franke. On October 1, 1949, she married Francis ‘Hank’ Kanz at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Minneiska, MN.
They farmed together all of their lives until Hank got sick. He went to the rest home in August 2003 and passed away November 2005. Mona moved to Wabasha in 2004 where she lived until her death.
Mona had a brother Harold Franke; two sisters: Florence Funk and Marie Hughley who have preceded her in death.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Committal prayers will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minneiska, MN. Please meet at St. Mary’s Cemetery 12:45 p.m. for the prayers. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
