Wabasha Resident Joanie Mangold Leads Charge for Wabasha Dog Park

Joanie Mangold has been a Wabasha resident since 2021. In just three years, she's woven herself into the fabric of this community, leaving her mark most visibly in the town's new dog park. But Wabasha is just the latest chapter in Mangold's life story. “I don’t like to sit still,” Mangold said. Before settling here, she had an impressive career as an art teacher at South Washington County schools and the University of Minnesota. Her unconventional teaching methods sparked creativity in countless students, many of whom still keep in touch.
