Asher Realty breaks in new office space with open house

Location, location, location—it’s a mantra often repeated to homebuyers and sellers and one that a local real estate office recently took to heart.
Mondovi’s Asher Realty office made the short move in September from a spot on West Main Street to the former LinRu’s on Main after purchasing the building on Mondovi’s east side.
Agent Lori Seipel said the move was initiated in order to provide the office with better signage and visibility to passers-by on one of Mondovi’s main thoroughfares. She noted the additional exposure supports the office’s “door’s always open philosophy,” and more people have been stopping in with real estate questions since they relocated.
Mondovi’s Asher Realty team, including Seipel and fellow real estate agent Susan Loomis, hosted a holiday open house event on Thursday, Dec. 11, to officially debut their new office at 675 E. Main St. with snacks and other goodies offered to those who stopped in.
Asher Realty owners Don and Vicki Asher were also in attendance to meet local residents.
Established in 2008, Asher Realty got its start after an American Realty office that the Ashers, Loomis, and Seipel had all worked for closed.
Vicki Asher said the four agents all wanted to continue working together, sparking the start of Asher Realty Group and its two offices, one in Mondovi and one on W. Main St. in Durand.
“We cover a pretty wide area,” she said.
Don and Vicki both hold 16 years of real estate experience while Seipel has been an agent for 14 years. Loomis has been involved in the real estate market since 1981, amounting to a strong familiarity with local listings between the four of them.
The recent move even acted as somewhat of a homecoming for Loomis. She previously owned the new Asher Mondovi building as a real estate office for a time, which formerly operated as Dregney Real Estate and United National Real Estate offices.
In 1992 it was leased by United Bank until their current location was constructed, after which the building served as a craft and gift shop and once again as a real estate office over the years.
“This building was used by some great realtors and it keeps coming back to real estate,” commented Loomis. “It must be what this building was meant to be.”
Moving forward, a few exterior improvements and other changes for the new Mondovi office are in the works, as are plans for expansion in the future.
Vicki said the group is looking at opening an office in Elmwood soon and potentially adding new agents to the company.
Administrative assistants like local resident Terri Ganschow will also begin working part-time in Mondovi to help Loomis and Seipel meet customer needs.
“We’re continually growing,” said Seipel. “We’re willing to serve anybody with real estate concerns.”
Asher Realty holds experience with residential, farm, land and commercial sales assisting customers in Buffalo, Pepin, Trempealeau, Eau Claire, Dunn, Pierce and St. Croix counties.
