Elaine Brager

Elaine Carrol Brager, 83, of the Town of Modena, Buffalo County, passed away on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2018, at her home, with her beloved husband and family at her side.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1935, in Nelson, Wis., a daughter of the late Edwin and Goldene (Barto) Reinhardt.
Elaine attended and graduated from the Nelson High School.
On May 1, 1954, Elaine was united in marriage to Kenneth Brager, at Grace Lutheran Church in Nelson. To this beloved union, three daughters were born.
Elaine and her husband worked side-by-side on the family farm. They were proud to have built not only a successful farm but also a loving family together.
She was a longtime and faithful member of Modena Lutheran Church, where she was an active member of the ladies aid.
Elaine loved to plant and tend to her vegetable gardens, and in the fall, canning the harvest.
Elaine and her husband enjoyed time together as they traveled to other states to visit family, most notably, Northern Minnesota, Washington, Wyoming and Florida.
Elaine will be remembered for her humane and loving heart she had for animals, her ability to prepare elaborate meals for family and friends, and how she always made you feel welcome. She is, and will always be, the true definition of what a wife, mom and grandma should be. She will be missed by many and in the hearts of those that survive.
Elaine will be dearly missed by her husband of the past 64 years, Ken; daughters, Debbie (Brian) Roshell, Diane Senti and Renee (Perry) Pronschinske; eight grandchildren, Wade Senti, Lindsay (Jeff) Seiple, Skylar Senti, Keaton Senti, Jason Pronschinske, Michaela Pronschinske, Joe Roshell and Jordan Roshell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce Jackelen, Arlene Quarberg, Gerald Reinhardt and infant brother, Roger.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, in Mondovi, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Modena Lutheran Church, at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior. Burial will follow in the Modena Cemetery.
