Frances Schultz
Frances Elaine “Fran” Schultz, 88, of Mondovi, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the American Lutheran Communities, Mondovi.
She was born on April 12, 1929, the daughter of Otto and Junice (Thompson) Becker. Fran married LaVerne Schultz on Aug. 23, 1947, at Our Savior’s United Methodist Church, and to this union three children were born. She was a member of Our Savior’s United Methodist Church and was active in many church organizations. Fran was also a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and active in the Mondovi Historical Society.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and quilting. Fran especially enjoyed cooking and baking cookies for her grandchildren. Fran was beloved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.
Fran will be sadly missed by her children, David (Dorothy) Schultz of Montevideo, Minn., Dennis (Diane) Schultz of Eleva, John (Mary) Schultz of Cameron; grandchildren, Lori (Todd) Gill, Brian (Lisa) Schultz, Mitchell (Amy) Schultz, Nathan (Rachel) Schultz, Steven (Erica) Schultz and Lucas Schultz; great-grandchildren, Justin, Shelby, Lexi, Rylee, Bradyn, Leah, Kiersten, Hattie, Dominic and Jamison; sister, Geraldine (Bud) DeBoer; brother, Melvin (Bonnie) Becker; sister-in-law, Linda Schultz; nieces and nephews; faithful companion, Bella her dog; other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Charlie (Mia) Becker, Ralph (Joyce) Becker and Kim (Shirley) Becker; sisters, Jeanette (Warren) Hulke and Leona (Vernon) Johnson; brother-in-law, Gary Schultz and Gordon Schultz; sisters-in-law, Blanche (Jerry) Rediske, Ileen (Duane) Thorson and Joyce (Mac) Trusler.
A funeral service will be held at Our Savior’s United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 29, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Claire Mather officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Mondovi Chapel on Wednesday, March 28, from 4 to 7 p.m., and then again from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
