Gerald Pederson

Gerald L. Pederson, 68, of Eau Claire, died June 28, 2016, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
He was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Mondovi, to Melvin and Shirley Pederson. Gerald served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for Hoehl and Grohn and Berry Plastic, from which he retired in 2014.
Gerald loved watching tigers and donating to help save them. He also loved Nascar and the Packers. He loved family cookouts, fishing and walking up the hill to check on animals, tree rats and a three-legged deer. He loved keeping friends and family informed on Facebook of his activities.
Gerald is survived by his children, Geremy (Heather) Pederson and Scott Pederson; grandchildren, Rachel and Gabe Pederson; brothers, Roger, James and Robert Pederson; sister, Mary Ward; mother, Shirley Pederson; beloved pet Muffin the cat.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Pederson; Cheechers the cat.
A celebration of life was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, Altoona.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, assisted the family with arrangements.
