Gordon “Gordie” Schultz, 81, of Augusta, formerly of Mondovi, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Palmer Place in Augusta.
He was born on Sept. 30, 1936, in Mondovi, to Romie and Johanna (Buchholz) Schultz, and grew up there with his brothers and sisters. Gordie later lived and worked independently in Arcadia. His family will miss him dearly but know that he is at peace with his parents and siblings.
Gordie is survived by his two sisters-in-law, Frannie Schultz of Mondovi, Linda Schultz of Eau Claire; eight nieces and nephews, David (Tootie) Schultz, Dennis (Diane) Schultz, John (Mary) Schultz, Mary (Robert) Marten, Susan (Cal) Scharf, Mike Thorson, Stacy (Brian) Jachymowski, Stef (Tony) Betley; many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Romie and Johanna Schultz; all his siblings; many other loved ones.
The family would like to thank all of Gordie’s wonderful caretakers throughout the years, especially Rachel, Mary and Jessie.
