Ida Miland

Ida Martha Miland, age 76, of Eau Claire, formerly of Eleva, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Eau Claire.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1942, in Rice Lake, to Ervin and Marie (Shear) Gaulke. She grew up in Rice Lake and Altoona. She married Richard Miland on Nov. 25, 1977, in Eleva. The couple made their home in Eleva and welcomed a son, Michael. Richard died on July 15, 1981. Ida worked at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire and later Family Farms in Eleva. She was a craft enthusiast who loved to make hats, afghans, and many other crafts. She also loved to read. Ida will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Darci) Miland of The Dalles, Ore.; sister-in-law, Patricia Gaulke of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, Donald Miland of Eleva; many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miland; parents, Ervin and Marie Gaulke; brother, Ervin Gaulke.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home, Mondovi is assisting the family with arrangements.
