Mondovi tennis team closes out 2015 season

The 2015 tennis season came to an end at Subsectionals on Monday, Oct. 5. The girls played some tough matches against some very strong teams. Most of the teams in the Subsectional were squads the Lady Buffs had never played against before.

The scores were as follows: No. 1 singles: Emma Boley — Round 1: lost against Aquinas (0-6) (3-6). No. 2 singles: Maria Jans —Round 1: lost to Aquinas (1-6) (1-6); No. 3 singles: Emily Flaskrud — Round 1: lost (4-6) (3-6). No. 4 singles: Gabby Scott — Round 1: won against Luther (6-4) (6-4); Round 2: lost against Regis (1-6) (4-6).

Doubles — No. 1 doubles: Amelia Flaskrud and Nola Matchey — Round 1: lost to Aquinas (0-6) (3-6); No. 2 doubles: Sophie Danzinger and Claire Bee — Round 1: lost to Aquinas (3-6) (2-6); No. 3 doubles: Emily Ness and Miranda Lund — Round 1: lost to West Salem (6-4) (4-6) (5-7).

Unfortunately, no players advanced to Sectionals this year. Special recognition goes to the three seniors: Gabby Scott, Amelia Flaskrud, and Emma Boley for making it a fantastic season!
