Volleyball season comes to an end for Lady Cards

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Blair-Taylor defeated Eleva-Strum 3-0 in the regional quarterfinal match, effectively ending the Lady Cardinals’ season.
The Lady Cards struggled the most in the first set, losing 25-17. The second set was close and the Cardinals stood their ground and had a strong defensive stance, but lost in extra points, 27-25. The third and final game was also a close one throughout the entire set, but the Cards dropped the 25-22 decision, despite fighting their hardest through all three games.
The statistical leaders for the night were Josie Olson with six kills, Megan McLean with 14 set assists, and Mackenzie Hutchins with 25 digs.
The Lady Cards ended their 2015 season with an overall record of 5-21 and were 2-8 in the Dairyland Conference.
