Eleva Village Board holds May meeting
ELEVA - The Eleva Village Board held its May meeting back on the 11th at the Village Hall.
On the meeting agenda was concern about a property at No. Main Street-Eleva. DNR opened a case about cleaning up the liquid containers. Board members agreed to to investigate and talk with property owner.
The Board approved the Eleva-Strum Rail Riders ATV/UTV Club to get materials to repair the small pavilion at Eleva Lake Park - up to $1600.00 and to replace a pole in the center of the Lake Park field by the ball park fence for decorations.
Board members also approved aBuilding Permit 26-02 for James Jaskowski – 26301 W. 3rd Avenue – Eleva – addition to detached garage – charge $50.00 permit fee. Meanwhile they tabled any action on Kevin Schultz Building Permit 24-02 garage attached to house until Village attorney has been talked to.
Also approved was the 2025 Eleva-Albion Garbage and Recycling Annual Report.
In an update, regarding the Eleva Lake Pond dredging, work will continue when it freezes up. The Eleva Dam repair work continues, awaiting DNR revisions to the project. In other Eleva Public Works Department updates: they are getting quotes on playground border in both parks, the No. 3rd Street service line broke, getting quotes for Stebbins Street to blade patch or pave and for sewer repair; brush pile – business was putting chips there; ESYA – asking Halle Nicolet to make sure field is cleaned up after games; concession stand – looking at getting floor fixed; loader codes showed up – getting that looked and need to order light poles by Legion and at park.
The Board agreed to table any action regarding renting commercial space at Corner Building until the June meeting. They also put aside action on the following agenda items: yard improvements to property at W. Mondovi Street; Water Tower Inspection through KLM; Hwy 10 sewer maintenance – waiting on bids; selling a Village property parcel; amended ordinance for ATV/UTV route North Park Road to County Road U and the village employee performance reviews.
