Search warrants lead to more drug arrests in Mondovi

A pair of search warrants executed last week by the Mondovi Police Department resulted in three more individuals in police custody on drug charges.

According to a press release from the Mondovi Police Department, the first search warrant was conducted on North Eau Claire Street on Monday, Jan. 25, just after 9 p.m. with assistance from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department.

The information used to obtain the search warrant was gathered from a traffic pursuit on U.S. Highway 10 on Jan. 23, police say.

Among the items police located in the home were drug paraphernalia, THC and items believed to be from recent thefts from vehicles.

A suspect was arrested and taken to the Buffalo County Jail.

The second search warrant was conducted by the MPD, in conjunction with the sheriff’s departments in Buffalo and Pepin counties, on Saturday, Jan. 30, at a home on West Main Street at approximately 10 p.m.

A traffic stop in the City of Mondovi tipped off police to illegal activity at the residence.

Drug paraphernalia, a firearm and ammunition, as well as a substance believed to be methamphetamine were located at the residence.

Two suspects were arrested and taken to the Buffalo County Jail.

All three names were still being withheld at press time pending formal charges.
