Mondovi’s Bolton Refuge House office teaming up with Zion Lutheran for Day of Unity event

Bolton Refuge House moved its Buffalo County office to Mondovi in 2016. Located in the rear portion of the Buffalo Tax Service office on E. Main St., BRH offers free resources for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse and teen dating violence. A Day of Unity event to bring awareness to these issues is set for Oct. 27.

Highlighting October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, 73 purple pinwheels—one for each victim in Wisconsin in 2016—are placed in front of the Mondovi BRH office. “We are hoping that this visual will show people that domestic violence is an issue in Wisconsin,” victim advocate Emily Couture said.

Emily Couture is the main victim advocate working in the Mondovi Bolton Refuge House office.

Members of the Zion Lutheran Church Quilters presented a large donation to Bolton Refuge House on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
