Seat belt use helps minimize injuries in serious accident, police say

A Pontiac Grand Am driven by a Winona, Minn., man was left in pieces after it was involved in a severe traffic accident involving two other vehicles last week. The force of the crash, which began when the car was rear-ended, threw the front end about 200 feet away into a ditch.

A Ford Taurus driven by an Arcadia woman and a truck (not pictured) were also involved in the accident at Hwy. 35/54 and Bluff Siding Rd. in southern Buffalo County on Wednesday, Aug. 31. All three drivers were taken to the hospital, but none suffered life threatening injuries.
